Through the experience of Joseph Smith, we know that God does hear and answer prayers. Just like Joseph, you can know for yourself that the Book of Mormon is the word of God!
In a year that has been anything but ordinary, 2020 still provided messages and stories of hope. The 2020 Murrieta Stake History (PDF) is a synopsis of activities, messages and events that happened during this unique year.
Friends, fun, parties, and professional success—Calyann Barnett had it all! That was until Calyann discovered she lived in a prison of her own making. Through her willingness to put God’s promises to the test, she realized there was something in life she hadn’t yet experienced—the peace of knowing that Jesus Christ’s love is real and available to all. Everyone can find this peace if they’re willing to take the time to learn of Christ and listen to His words.
Just as Jesus Christ spoke to his disciples in ancient times, He speaks to us today. This Easter, listen to His words and teachings, and #HearHim.
This Easter, ponder what the Savior means to all humanity—and to you personally. And then share the good news.
John 20: 11-17
“It is important for every individual to have a relationship with Christ because salvation is a personal, individual experience. We do not save people by congregations. We ourselves are saved one individual at a time. This is a very personal relationship with christ. The savior understands us because he is not an abstraction. Because he is a living, breathing, real, Son of God. What this means to me is that he understands me. That he loves me and that he reaches me, I cant explain how that happens. I just know that it does.” - Elder Holland
Jesus Christ took upon Himself the sins and sorrows of the world. Though He was crucified, He rose from the dead.
He was despised and rejected by men. He was wounded for our transgressions. The Lamb of God taketh away all the sins of the world. If we let Him, love Him, and follow Him, He can take away our sins.
This Easter, find out how, through Jesus Christ, we too can find new life. Hallelujah.
What happens when we mute the noise around us, and listen with our hearts? That’s when we can feel the influence of Jesus Christ. #HearHim
